The Samoa Chamber of Commerce and Industry held its Annual General Meeting on Monday, 29 March 2010 bringing in a number of new faces to Samoa’s national private sector organisation.
Mrs. Sina Retzlaff-Lima, continuing as President for a third consecutive year said:
“The 2010 Executive Council brings together a mixture of new and experienced members to form what I believe will be a very strong team to represent Samoa’s private sector.
The new Executive will be able to build on the substantial progress made in 2009. Essentially, as Samoa’s newly established National Private Sector Organisation (NPSO) being the umbrella organisation for Samoa’s private sector, Samoa Chamber has a lot of work to do in representing not only our individual business members but also our member associations including the Samoa Hotels Association, Samoa Association of Manufacturers and Exporters and Women in Business Development amongst others so that these businesses and their members are given the support they need to succeed.
Over the course of 2010, Chamber hopes to build on its relationship with Government and shall continue to advocate for Government policies that truly facilitate business development.”
