MANGO training participants with trainer Hobart Vaai


The Samoa Chamber of Commerce & Industry completed a two day training from the 30-31 July on MANGO Finance Training: Budgeting and Financial Reporting Essentials. The workshop was facilitated by the Chamber Member Services Manager Hobart Vaai.

The MANGO training is a worldwide award winning training programme aimed at ‘Taking the Fear out of Finance’ and has a participatory based and proactive approach to training. The workshop was aimed to implement effective skills in budgeting and financial reporting. This initiative is supported by the Pacific Leadership Programme and is being implemented through the Chamber.

Feedback from participants indicated that the workshop was very helpful and informative for their line of work. One of the participants, Lasi Rivers of Apia Pharmarcy stated, “This workshop has introduced new concepts and approaches to be taken when handling and formulating budgets and financial reporting templates we can use”.

The Chamber of Commerce will be implementing this program again and interested parties can contact the Chamber office for more information on the workshop and to register.
